Hobie Holder Hawk £275 (14 June 2010)

Beautiful and much loved Hobie Holder Hawk (also called Holder-9) for sale for £275.

See http://www.byc.org/Sailing%20fleet/junior%20sailing/library/hawk/hobiehawk.pdf

Unique boat built by Hobie Cat in the early 1980 and in good condition given its age. Suitable for kids between about 7 to 13, looks like a slightly larger RSTera and has a beautiful mulit-coloured sail, only a couple of years old. It is one of a kind certainly in the UK, maybe even in the world. Built from GRP construction the gelcoat is crazed, though the boat is overall watertight. Hull, boom and daggerbard original, mast and rudder made to Holder Hawk specifications. Ready to sail and available for viewing in a shed near you.

Hobie Holder Hawks have a US handicap of 120.5, translating to about 1458 in PYS, making it fast and compatible with Topper and Optimist mixed fleet sailing.

Reason for a reluctant sale is that Rory would like to start competitive racing and therefore needs a boat that looks more Optimist shaped. Detailed photos and information available.
