Aberdeen and Stonehaven Yacht Club (ASYC) offers dinghy sailing opportunities on both coastal and inland waters in the northeast of Scotland, with a competitive racing programme at both locations.

Notice to Mariners, 5-31 January 2012

The survey vessel Eileen May will be carrying out a cetacean and seabird survey in a area between Porthlethen and Cruden Bay over 2 periods of 2-days between 5 and 31 January 2012. This will involve towing a hydrophone at a depth of 5m on a 100m cable behind the vessel. Cruising members based at Stonehaven may wish to take note. RYA Scotland Race Management events 2012

The RYA Scotland Race Management, Judge and Umpire Conference is scheduled to take place during the weekend of the RYA Scotland "Big Weekend". Not only will the above conference be taking place but there will also be an RYA Event Safety Workshop which may be of interest to you, please see the website at the link below for full details and on-line registration: RYA Scotland Big Weekend Information.

 
There will be TWO RYA Regional Race Management Seminars in 2012 (subject to demand), these training courses are for Race Officers and lead to the RYA Regional Race Officer Qualification:
